چکیده

Tyre wear particle emissions have gained significant attention due to their harmful effects on the environment and human health. However, studies tyre particles generated under chassis dynamometer conditions are still scarce. This study measures instantaneous number concentrations elemental species of in different light-duty vehicle test cycles. The results show that (PN) US06 cycle much higher than those WLTC larger more frequent accelerations decelerations former. High PN observed during high driving speeds with rapid accelerations, while lower low speed acceleration. Furthermore, tread temperature is found be related formation particles. concentration second third cycles similar, indicating once exceeds critical value, tyres become heated a steady state, will not affected by average tyre. A initial can produce cold start phase prolong time required for warm up. In addition, contained mass fraction Zn, which serve as tracer non-exhaust tests vehicles.

[Emission of aldehydes from light duty diesel vehicles].

OBJECTIVE To characterize acetaldehyde and formaldehyde emissions, which are harmful gases to human health and not yet regulated for diesel engines. METHODS Standardized tests were performed in four diesel light duty commercial vehicles, using a frame dynamometer and test procedure FTP-75. The pollutants were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. RESULTS Results have shown ace...

Microscopic Emission and Fuel Consumption Modeling for Light-duty Vehicles Using Portable Emission Measurement System Data

Microscopic emission and fuel consumption models have been widely recognized as an effective method to quantify real traffic emission and energy consumption when they are applied with microscopic traffic simulation models. This paper presents a framework for developing the Microscopic Emission (HC, CO, NOx, and CO2) and Fuel consumption (MEF) models for light-duty vehicles. The variable of comp...

Selective Catalytic Reduction for Heavy-duty and Light-duty Vehicles

Whereas previous emission limit values could be met by primary engine control measures, the limits for PM and NOx from heavy duty engines in 2008/09 (Euro V) and diesel passenger cars in 2014/15 (Euro 6) represent a challenge for the developers of diesel engines and vehicles. Due to the thermodynamics of the Diesel combustion process, it is difficult to optimise the combustion process for both ...

On-board emission measurement of high-loaded light-duty vehicles in Algeria.

A sample of eight private gasoline and diesel conventional light-duty vehicles (LDVs) in use with various ages, carrying a load of 460 kg, were tested on a representative trip in the traffic flow of the city of Blida to obtain emission factors representing the actual use conditions of Algerian LDVs. The gas sampling system (mini-constant volume sampling) as well as the analyzers are carried on-...

Untangling the Impacts of Various Factors on Emission Levels of Light Duty Gasoline Vehicles

In the last decade, climate change has become one of the major environmental issues. The reduction of greenhouse gas emission as the main contributor in climate change is now more and more critical. Therefore, precise and reliable emission estimation models are necessary to help evaluate the impacts of future projects, strategies, and policies. This increasing pressure has made the emission mod...
